The Meeting is under the Auspices of the Greek Ministry of Health and Social Solidarity
Welcome
It is my great pleasure and honor to invite you to participate in the 41st Meeting of the European Brain and Behaviour Society (EBBS) and the 23rd Meeting of the Hellenic Society for Neuroscience (HSfN) which will take place jointly from September 13-18 2009 at the Rodos Palace Hotel in the island of Rhodes, Greece. The EBBS was founded in 1968, and is the oldest European Neuroscience society. Its purpose is the exchange of information between European scientists interested in the relationship of brain mechanisms and behaviour. The aims of HSfN, which was founded in 1985, are the promotion of education of scientists in Neuroscience, the advancement of research in the nervous system and the increase in public awareness for brain functions and diseases of the nervous system. Its members include both basic scientists and clinicians that work in Universities and hospitals in Greece, Europe and the United States. The joint meeting is expected to be a major neuroscientific event. The science will be great and the venue is unique in combining excellent congress and hotel facilities with magnificent physical setting. The symposia and plenary lectures of the meeting are of the highest scientific caliber, and a most enjoyable cultural and social program has been planned. Focal events of the meeting will be the poster sessions where students and young scientist from all over Europe and the Mediterranean countries will have a chance to present their work, exchange scientific information, meet with senior scientists and establish long-standing friendships and collaborations.
Hope to see you all in Rhodes!
